I’m glad you’re here. My name is Alana, also known in these parts as The Canine Cowgirl. When I’m not wranglin’ pups, you can usually find me on horseback or making my own turquoise jewelry. There’s not much that I love more than my horse and my dog and that’s basically my whole identity (thus our namesake).

I’ve considered myself an animal lover for as long as I can remember but my credentials go far beyond that. With a combined 7 years of professional experience working within the equine, canine, and zoo fields, I’ve gained a unique perspective on animal husbandry, behavior, and training. Along with training exotic animals at the Lehigh Valley Zoo, I’ve worked for one of Philadelphia’s biggest training companies and have had a hand in training hundreds of dogs.

Over the last few years I’ve found great joy in helping pups and their people live their best lives, together and I have no intention of slowing down now. Instead, we’re just getting started and I’d love to have you as a part of our posse.
